Help Ballona & Surfrider take out the trash!
Join us on International Coastal Cleanup weekend at Tower 20, Santa Monica, from 10 am-12 pm. We will be teaming up with Surfrider LA to keep our shorelines clean and educate participants on the importance of stewarding our entire watershed.
Our local beaches are stewarded by volunteers just like you! We welcome you to an engaging day of toes in the sand with family, friends, and new acquaintances, raising awareness about litter and plastic pollution.
Registration: Registration is required!
Location: This is not at our normal location. This beach cleanup is in Santa Monica.
Ages: Activities are recommended for ages 7 and up. Youths 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
What to wear: We recommend dressing in weather-appropriate layers that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, along with a hat.
What to bring: Please bring your own full water bottle. There are no water fountains on-site. We will provide all other tools and supplies, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves and trash bags.
Cancellations: For safety, we must cancel if it’s raining. Please check the weather before arriving. If you’re not sure, please call us or check our social media for cancellation announcements.
Donations: The suggested donation is $5 per person. By donating online or at our events, you can keep helping with cleanup even after you leave! Free tours and community service events are made possible by the efforts and donations of kindhearted people just like you.
