Join Docent Danya Pollack for an fun craft for kids and kids at heart alike at the Ballona Discovery Park! We'll be making bird feeders out of reused materials and talking about the birds we see at the park and the wetlands beyond! We hope you stop by!
Registration: Not required for this event!
Ages: All ages are welcome, but we will always request that young children be supervised!
What to wear: We recommend dressing in weather and activity-appropriate layers that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Long pants are also recommended to protect against bugs.
What to bring: Your own full water bottle to stay hydrated. The nearest restroom is located just under a quarter mile west of the park, at the Sports Park.
Arrive any time: Arrive any time between 10 and 12 and we’ll happily help you make a bird feeder and chat about birds!
Parking: Street parking on Bluff Creek Drive in front of the park. Parking signs limit parking to 2 hours (the length of the event).
Covid-19 Protocols: We recommend that participants comply with applicable public health COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Cancellations: For safety, we must cancel if it’s raining. Please check the weather before arriving. If you’re not sure, please call us or check our social media for cancellation announcements.
