Friends of Ballona Wetlands Founder Ruth Lansford wins prestigious award!

On Friday March 14th, the Friends of Ballona Wetlands’ founder, Ruth Lansford was honored by the City of Los Angeles with one of the Women of Impact Awards! The awards are given to women across the city who have demonstrated their commitment to advancing the well-being of Angelenos.

We couldn’t think of a more deserving honoree!! Ruth was chosen for the honor by City Councilwoman Traci Park for her instrumental work to save the Ballona Wetlands. Today the Friends of Ballona Wetlands continue to preserve and protect Ballona with our Education, Restoration, Science, and Advocacy programs.

Ruth’s passion inspires us to continue in our mission.

Congratulations to Ruth and all of the Women of Impact awardees on this honor!
