Your dedication to documenting the birds of Ballona is unparalleled and invaluable to the Friends' work. Don started recording birds at the Ballona Freshwater Marsh and along the Riparian Corridor even before the freshwater marsh restoration. Thanks to his 20+ years of commitment to Ballona's feathered friends, we have a deep understanding of how bird populations and nesting species have changed over the years. Last year, Don went one step further and helped monitor birds for a special project that spanned the entire wetland!
